For the past several months Hyun Supul, new owner of Aesop Interactive LLC, has been diligently improving Aesop Story Engine and today he’s released version 1.9. This release includes a new gallery type by Paul Eiche called Hero.
Users can configure the Hero gallery type to fill the window or container vertically or horizontally. You can also apply styles to text or use HTML tags using the new ‘Content’ option.
Aesop 1.9 improves the Parallax Component by adding a ‘Fixed’ option for image movement. It also has a ‘Content’ option so users can style it using HTML tags.
Due to conflicts with custom Novella styles, the older version of the Novella theme is not compatible with 1.9. Supul notes that a new version compatible with 1.9 should be available on September 27th. To see the new features in action, check out the Aesop 1.9 release post.
If the plugin is as responsive as it shows on their site, then I pass. The site looks terrible when viewing on mobile. He should fix that, especially those “hearts” overlay and the top bar.
