Such an inspiring recap of this year’s State of the Word! It’s amazing to see WordPress truly embrace its global community and celebrate Japanese culture and contributions. From Wapuu to Kansei engineering and the incredible growth of WordPress in Japan—83% market share is mind-blowing!
The updates on Gutenberg, WordPress Playground, and the focus on collaboration tools are super exciting for the future of content creation. Mary Hubbard’s words about protecting WordPress’s open-source values were particularly powerful—WordPress really does belong to all of us.
It’s clear that WordPress continues to innovate while staying true to its mission of democratizing publishing, and it’s wonderful to see the community’s passion shining through. Cheers to everyone involved in making this possible!
Wow, Japan really rose up with high popularity in the Region.
Five years ago when Gutenberg was created, I was hesitant. Since I made the move 3 years ago, I have yet to look back.
I’m really looking forward to seeing more integrated functions like, custom field and email settings. These basic features should be addressed before building on top of these blocks.
