Human Made has acquired Australian based WordPress development agency Sennza. Human Made is a development shop with more than 20 employees and has offices scattered across the world. They’re also a WordPress.com VIP partner. Sennza and its three employees will continue to work from their office and become Human Made Australia.
The move gives Human Made an opportunity to tap into the enterprise market in Australia as well as help out with other projects across Asia, India, and the US West Coast. According to Sennza’s announcement, talks of the acquisition began at WordCamp Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria.
Although we had met and spoken with Human Made previously, we got the chance to really meet and hang out with most of the team while at WordCamp Europe in Sofia, Bulgaria which helped to confirm this was the right decision to make.
Earlier this year at PressNomics, one of the topics of discussion is that we’re at the beginning stages of a consolidation period for agencies in the WordPress space. This move solidifies the belief that acquisitions involving 10 employees or less appear likely as larger shops look for opportunities to expand their reach and acquire talent at the same time.
Congratulations to Human Made and the Sennza team(s). :)
