Thank you so much for covering this exciting news. Just a quick clarification: ALL previously raised funds WILL be used for the charitable organization, continuing our previous efforts toward inclusion and accessibility. Those funds are only allowed to be held by or used for a 501(c)(3) organization and are currently being held with a temporary fiscal host. All funds will be transferred to the subsidiary organization once it has been formalized.

As a key value for the WPCC is transparency, all financial records for both organizations are and will continue to be available at: http://opencollective.org/thewpcc (original project logging previously raised funds and charitable project expenditures) and http://opencollective.org/thewpcommunitycollective (the newly incorporated membership nonprofit).
