Hi! I’m Sé Reed.

I have been in the WordPress community since 2012, and have attended, organized, and spoken at many a WordCamp since then. I also host a weekly WordPress-themed podcast called WPwatercooler where we talk about … WordPress!

I am one of the founders of The WP Community Collective, a new non-profit initiative that supports and funds individual contribution and community-based initiatives for the open-source WordPress project.

As an unsponsored contributor to the WordPress project, I am currently serving as one of the 2023 Marketing Team reps, as well as one of the leads for the WordPress 6.4 release. Once upon a time I was on the Consumer Growth Council (oh, the stories!), and I’ve attended two WordPress Community Summits, including 2023.

For my day job, I am a digital and business development strategist and web developer for my own consulting agency, working with clients that have a social impact-focused mission. In a previous life, I owned an independent bookstore/art & music gallery called Open, and sang harmonies in a little folk band that toured around (here’s a link to one of our old videos: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CGdmKA2gR6M).
