Considering that Patchstack still hasn’t manged to handle doing basic vetting with their information on supposed WordPress plugin vulnerabilities, they should be putting more focus on that, not less.
What is the source for the claim that Patchstack is the “largest vulnerability intelligence provider in the WordPress ecosystem”?

Huh. I wonder why so many companies are looking outside the WP ecosystem?
Maybe we should ask Matt?Hey Matt, can you think of any reason everyone would want to bail on WordPress?
WordPress is all about “democratizing the web”, right?Isn’t it?
Oh… wait… based on actions taken by Matt and others (wassup Sam!) I would say Matt absolutely does not believe in “democratizing the web”.
You know what?
That is his right – it might even be his legal right (how’s that working out for you Matt?)It is also the right of every developer out there to flee as fast as they can from what appears to be (IMHO) a sinking ship run by someone who has (sadly) lost his way.

Patchstack is the largest CNA for the past 2 years already and by total historic volume as well: http://cve.icu/CVE2024.html

Katie diving into Shopify apps feels like the perfect match—after all, what better way to tackle challenges than with your WooCommerce experiences in tow? It’s refreshing to see these leaders not only remain loyal to WordPress but also venture forth into fresh waters. Can’t wait to see how this all unfolds

Firstly, wow, thanks for the mention of WP Deals – it’s greatly appreciated. The reason for evolving WP Deals and starting from scratch is to give people more choice. I don’t really care for the whole WP politics side of things – it’s not my bag.
I wanted to do things differently and include more from other makers. It’s a win-win: more subscribers (fingers crossed!) and more choice for people. Not everyone uses WordPress, but you never know – a non-user might spot a product that could be ideal for them. Obviously, this goes both ways – a WP user might discover a SaaS tool that works for them.
I mentioned in the original post that I was going to charge for listings, but I don’t think that’s fair. So, it’s free to offer a deal, whether it’s for WordPress or something else.
I’ll always use WordPress, despite any behind-the-scenes shenanigans, and I’ll always recommend it to others if I think it’s a good fit for them.
