Matt’s comment was not condescending, it was observational, as are several other comments in this thread. If you’re going to publish an article about a topic you’re not experienced with (you admit yourself that you’re not a software engineer), then you should request peer feedback on the article prior to publishing it, from someone who’s actually familiar with XML-RPC. They would have pointed out that practically this entire article is FUD. I suspect the main reason this article was published was, indeed, to “cause controversy” in order to draw attention to the author.
