mark k. This is stupid, removing functionality is the stupidest kind of security, but if you are going that way you should at least prove that there is an actual security risk. This article has many words but no numbers to prove the point. The reality is that if you have a good password you will not get hacked from brute force attack, and if you have a login rate limiter then even not so good passwords might be enough. If your password is 123456 then you will get hacked with or without XML-RPC.
