Chip Bennett I can understand, and agree with most of what you said – except for 6a. But 6a isn’t directed at you. You, I’m confident, have considered the core decisions not options philosophy, and have made a conscious, reasoned, and deliberate decision to go a different route, for good reasons, that suit your needs and the needs of your end users. There’s absolutely nothing wrong with that! 6a is directed at those who have not at least considered that core philosophy, and who provide options merely for the sake of providing options. The exercise of considering the right balance of decisions and options for a given Theme is useful and productive, regardless of the ultimate decision.
