Matt There’s a lot of fair criticism in your comment, and it is true that the attention paid to the core software far outstrips what we’ve been able to muster so far on feature plugins, canonical plugins, handbooks, Glotpress, and (perhaps most importantly) the plugin and theme directories. There is some good work underway, and I hope that what happens in 2015 will help shift the balance here a bit more. You can see the beginnings of it in the plugin and theme directory improvements in wp-admin in the past few releases.
