So where’s the due diligence? Ryan is right that businesses are reluctant to send personal data off-site. And with good reason. What precautions are in place for those with sites within the EU to prevent the illegal export of data outside the EU? Where’s the HIPAA compliance confirmation? Or FINRA, or …? You get the picture. (At least, I hope you do.) The trouble is, if any regulator or compliance auditor now decides to take a look, it’s almost certainly too late for Stream.
