Jon Brown I appreciate the long-form deep dive, but also agree it reads like an advertorial. I feel that is mostly because it doesn’t mention a single competitor nor discuss any differentiation from the wider market. Nor did I see any information/quotes from anyone outside Automattic. So, how does WP Cloud differ from GridPane, Runcloud, etc… What aspects of it are actually interesting to developers? What needs are being met that aren’t being met elsewhere? Not a single quote from a customer/user past or present? If you’re going to call it a “dream for developers” it just seems like that statement ought to be backed up with some detail and reasoning beyond A8c’s internal marketing hype.
