Aurooba Ahmed For what it’s worth, I watched the recording, read the notes in several places, and then also read this post. I thought this post did a good job of highlighting discussion, looping in context, and presenting what happened from the perspective of developers and extenders. you’ll quickly realize that everyone, including a number of Automattic-sponsored contributors, often feel just as “in the dark” as we do. I interpreted this statement as an acknowledgement and a camaraderie in the fact that there’s no one who has all the answers all the time. I didn’t at all see it as anyone thinking, you specifically, Anne, were in the dark or coming from a place of not-knowing. This next bit is entirely speculation, but Make WordPress Core is difficult to explore, navigate, and even read sometimes. It’s possible that your post got so much more attention (beyond just a few tweets going viral) because it was more naturally discoverable. Just something I’m pondering. I’m delighted the Outreach program is getting more exposure, that more people are interested. These kinds of things, much like the entire Gutenberg project, take time to gain steam and momentum. We’re seeing some momentum here, and that’s a great thing. :)
