Tobie Langel For the longest time, I assumed jQuery development was now limited maintenance of legacy systems. Turns out it’s still very much in use today. The State of Open Source 2024 report asks the following question: “Which open source frameworks does your organization use to build applications today?” While React came on top, at 25.84%, jQuery was a close second with 22.48%, way before .NET, Django, Ruby on Rails, Angular or View.js. (Source: https://www.openlogic.com/resources/state-of-open-source-report) It’s wild how widely used it still is!
