Or plugins, for that matter (I know plugins are reviewed by a different team). Since core doesn’t have the onboarding setup in place, they should allow Ollie as a special case immediately. Perhaps even sponsor Mr. McOlliester and work with him to get a proper onboarding workflow baked into core. I recently decided to give a block theme (Twenty Twenty-Three) a go on of my archived sites. It was a headache getting it to do what I wanted, way more difficult than my current and preferred theme GeneratePress. I am not even a block editor hater, I have been using and loving the block editor for years.
