Brian Link After reading that Trac ticket, I would walk away. If the price of submission is stripping out a unique feature of your theme then what is the point? You’ll just sink to the bottom of the pile with all of the other multipurpose themes they’ve approved. WordPress.org is certainly an important piece of the distribution puzzle for plugins. But I’m not so sure it’s as useful for themes.
