The WordPress management should stop living in echo-chambers and get in touch with real life users and developers. Gutenberg and FSE is nice but take your time to work on it. Then publish when it’s user friendly and all done. I’m starting my own business for SME sites and want to develop in WP but now I have serious doubts on where to go. If people start to complain about productivity and bad user experience, then things are going the wrong way.
