Michael Nelson Thanks for this. This seems like a fair assessment (and I’m one of those pining for WP’s “simpler” days.) This makes me realize the biggest things I, and probably others, need to get up-to-speed on developing with and contributing to WP and Gutenberg is documentation (even documentation that steps back a bit and gives some help getting started on supporting technologies, like webpack, Babel, and TypeScript which just got added to the list) and code stability. I recognize everything is in flux and so documentation and stability are really hard until things slow down. Moving development over to GitHub has certainly been a win, though.
