DannyW This totally ignores the fact that a lot of developers in the WordPress space don’t have the luxury of being employed by a large company that not just encourages, but specifically employs you to work on Gutenberg. A lot of developers work are freelance or small agencies who are having to entirely re-tool and learn complex, ever changing set of APIs (when we’re lucky) which themselves are poorly documented, if at all. Gutenberg creates a barrier to entry because it has been pushed forward by Automattic and a handful of people at larger agencies who have the privilege of time and money behind them to do so (of course there are individual contributors too).
