Phil Johnston The block editor itself is great. But when testing block-widgets, it feels like a square peg in a round hole. It just doesn’t work well. It’s the wrong use of the block editor IMO. I think it’s best to let the-old be the-old, and let the-new be the-new. When the-new is good enough, people will use it, and be excited about it. Defaulting (and somewhat forcing) people to use the-new by shoehorning it into the-old causes problems all around for everyone (users, devs, community trust, etc). I believe these are easily avoided problems if the approach could be changed.
