Patrick B What’s the difference between Widget Areas (with the new block-based widget screen) and Block Areas? Do you mean essentially adding your own template of blocks through the FSE template interface? When I switch to doing all my site build in the block editor I also got rid of the widget as well and rolled my own implementation, which I also call block areas. But that was mostly because the new block-based widget screen wasn’t available yet, even though I am rarely using them for sidebars.
