Eric Karkovack I think you make some good points. Upselling should be allowed IMO. If you’re going to donate something to the theme directory, that seems fair within reason. One thing I’ve noticed is that some of these listed themes are very unclear in terms of what you’re actually getting. They’ll mention certain features but it’s not always obvious if they are included in the “free/lite” version. Just in my own research, I find that I have to actually install a theme before I can verify what’s included and what requires an extra purchase. That’s where I think my biggest issue lies. It comes off as a deceptive practice, even if the developer didn’t intend it that way.
