I feel sorry for Matthew MacPherson that he’s been given the job of acting as a mudguard for Matt’s decision to throw people with disabilities under the bus in the quest for greater market-share.

To become the new accessibility lead, publicly call for an audit, then have the man at the top pull the rug out from beneath you – yikes.

The development process for Gutenberg has been much more like one for a private company than a community-driven open source project.

Let’s be honest – most of the important decisions are made in private. Slack channels, Github issues, and ‘Make’ blogs give it the appearance of being more open than it really is.

Sometimes it seems as though the community is seen as a hindrance by those who really control WordPress.

I’m pro-Gutenberg, I hope Phase 2 is handled better than this.
