pepe Actually, it would be about 75 % of users according to the WP.org statistics. If you instead move to PHP 5.6, only 35 % of WP installs will be “left behind”. (That number probably includes sites that have not been actively maintained in a long time.) As a plugin developer, I’ve stopped supporting anything below PHP 5.6.
