Derek When I search for a free theme, I want a free theme because I do not want to invest money in a paid one then found out the theme I picked keeps adding ads inside my dashboard to upgrade or making a sales pitch too upgrade. That’s annoying and same goes with plugin developers who create free stuff with the intent of forcing people to upgrade. If I wanted a preium them or a plugin, I would use that keyword when searching google or let’s say the theme directory.
