M Hi, While I usually share the same opinions as Matt Mullenweg concerning WordPress, I feel that I somewhat disagree this time. He is right that the adoption should have been higher than this by now but I think that merging part only of the REST API into core in 4.4 created some confusion among users who preffered to delay their experiments until the endpoints have been merged. So my opinion is to merge the endpoints in WordPress 4.5 and let the users experiment with more confidence, even if it’s not a 100% feature complete, because then, there will be more users, and following the feedback we will know which missing features need to be prioritized.
