mark k. What a great news on two fronts 1. the rest API BS will not bother my sites for one more release 2. Matt is back in the house and shows leadership. IMHO the last releases might be ok technically but have no sense of direction, Matt getting more involved hopefully will fix that. The main sin of the REST API from inception was the lack of a use case it should answer, so now we have at last some actual goal posts – minimum: parity with XML-RPC – full: parity with web admin IMO replacing XML-RPC with REST API is a valid goal by itself due to the security problem the xml-rpc protocol has which can not be fixed, but endpoint for posts comment etc should be left for plugins to implement.
