Peter Knight Javascript is definitely not an easy language to pick up, it has plenty of surprising qualities that won’t be obvious to new learners and there are many design patterns that can confuse people. Closures for example routinely mystify devs who’ve been at it for a while. PHP by comparison is much easier. I would say Javascript is the funnest though, especially now that it can be applied almost everywhere.
