wordpressweekly1What a pleasant surprise this show turned out to be. I started the show solo but about 10 minutes into the recording, a familiar voice called into the show. You might know him as Matt Mullenweg. Kim Parsell also joined me to talk about WordPress. We discussed a number of stories that occurred during the week but since Matt was on the line, I went into rapid fire mode discussing all sorts of things such as the road map for bbPress, the WordPress store and its possible role with the foundation, ideas on the best way to provide feedback on a problem, the most difficult aspect of managing the WordPress project, a bit about the default theme, why he won’t be attending as many WordCamps this year and just a ton of other stuff. Really want to thank Matt for dropping by on a night where I was prepared to go solo.

  7. Another great show Jeff!! I was really concerned when you opened the show that you were going to say that you were going to quit doing WordPress Weekly. Thank goodness you’re only changing times. I’ve honestly never listened to the show live, but I faithfully listen to your show on my iPod each week as my crazy schedule allows.

    Anyways, I wanted to drop you a note and let you know how much I enjoy your show. It is always interesting and you have an excellent interviewing style. WordPress Weekly really helps me stay connected to what’s going on with WordPress and in the community. Thanks for your hard work Jeff!!

  8. @James – Thanks James. Matt certainly provided a pick me up. I think I owe him one.

    @beachbum – Have never seen NAVT before but it would be hard pressed to beat what the WooThemes team has cooked up. It’s also not a core plugin, it’s core integration. Also, all WooThemes branding has been removed so it will look totally native to WordPress. WooThemes has already marketed the integration but if I were them, I’d milk this as contributing to the core of WordPress like they have with a feature that has long been one of the eyesores of WordPress will inevitably provide them with more business.

    @Mark Erickson – Thank you for being such a loyal listener. Have you seen a therapist yet? Just kidding. The interviews are hit and miss. Depends on how much homework I do and how much I know about the subject or person at hand. Who knows, maybe I can be the Charlie Rose of the WordPress world lol.

  9. Just throwing in my 2 cents to say that I really enjoy your podcasts. I have only been listening for a few months, but they are interesting and valuable.

    I love that Matt, Jane and the others support you by calling in and getting involved.

    Unfortunately I won’t be able to call in, or listen live normally due to scheduling restrictions, but I’m glad to hear you’re not canceling the show!
