I think they should focus more on local WordCamps.

Looking forward in seeing this happen in Bangkok :) Easier for us Asians from 3rd world country to enter with less visa requirements

That is why, instead of planning for a grand and pompous event, we need to make sure it is affordable and reachable to people of all financial backgrounds.”

That is great to hear. Vitally important as WordPress develops more in 3rd world countries.

    Very good initiative Sakin.

I have attended/Speak in WordCamp Kathmandu, Nepal and WordCamp Miami, US on all my expenses traveled from Pakistan.

I’m impressed with Nepal WP Community, They are very active since 5 years.

It would be so great to have this community together.

I think it was not “the first formal meeting” but an office hour hosted by Andrea Middleton from Global Community Team, and there aren’t community member from Indonesia but from Cambodia :)

Big events are fun, but some country doesn’t have even local WordCamps. We also talked we still need continue outreach and grow up local community to organize international team. That would be nice if we can have more support for it as well.

Humble request to organizers to hold this WordCamp in Pakistan as we are having the best of facilities better than every other asian country. Our Hotels and Transports are as good as any european country.

Inshalllah we will do an awesome job of hosting the best WordCamp in the world.

    Lahore, Pakistan
