Deborah Donnier and Emilie Lebrun, creators of ThinkWP, are producing a 50-minute documentary to promote the WordPress community and its ecosystem in France. The team plans to interview entrepreneurs and enthusiasts in several French cities, including Paris, Lyon, Marseille, Toulouse, Bordeaux, and Biarritz.
ThinkWP has titled its upcoming documentary “Why WordPress?” and will ask participants a series of questions to help viewers discover the community: “What is WordPress for them? What are its strengths? Who is using WordPress and why is it such a success? How does one succeed creating a business around WordPress and what are the traps to avoid?”
In an interview with Aurélien Denis on WP Channel, Deborah Donnier said that she and co-creator Emilie Lebrun will focus on showing WordPress as a professional tool to combat common misconceptions about it being only suitable for blogging. They are working to make a difference in the French ecosystem by changing the general perception of the software.
ThinkWP has just released the first trailer, which includes English subtitles, to offer a taste of what viewers can expect from the documentary.
