Thank you for doing a write-up on the plugin Justin! As mention in the article it’s still early days but I hope to update the plugin very, very soon and include more features to return the plugin to its former glory.

Clever to return with a premium-only offering 😀 I’m wondering why it doesn’t simply hook into the Admin Color Schemes? I think it would be a lot cleaner to add a Light, Dark and Auto Light/Dark to the color schemes instead of having a separate setting?

This is feedback I used to get with the original plugin. I decided to keep it separate as a means of differentiating the ‘admin colour schemes’ and an actual ‘Dark Mode’.

The admin colour schemes (ACS) change the toolbar and dashboard menu but don’t control any other part of the dashboard (except buttons generally) whereas Dark Mode changes everything else.

Plus, it’s nice to have the ability to use an ACS like ‘Sunrise’ to have a red toolbar and menu yet still have a darker UI. If I made Dark Mode into an additional ACS, it would mean you couldn’t mix and match, you could only have Dark Mode or make use of one the of the other standard ACS.

    Hi, Daniel, interesting plugin.
Very affordable price, I am probably going to buy it, if you are committed to maintain that.

It could be nice if there’s a public place where we can see the changelog of new releases. Is there a public demo or a video that show that in action?

Hi Marco, thanks for the support and I’m going to continue to develop Dark Mode into the future – I’ve had feedback to suggest this is something people have been missing for a while now.

There’s nothing public at the moment in terms of a demo or a change log but that’s simply due to time. I’ve been focusing on the plugin right now, but it’s something that will come later on. I’ve been busy making documentation and help on the support forums. Once purchased you’ll be able to access all of guides and help easily.

      🙂
