On a totally “I did it too” fashion 😁, I’m creating a similar plugin. It’s based on an open source framework called Resoc, so you can customize everything. The plugin is still a bit fresh: you can customize the existing templates, but cannot add you own one yet. But I’m working to make it the default for web developers using WordPress.

    Justin,

Thank you for your kind words!

It is indeed by design that we have minimised the available options. There are a few solutions available that go all-out, but having too much options is sometimes a bad thing. We went for the minimalist approach.

We are still very much in the early stages of development and some of your suggestions (options/setting position and layout) are already on our radar. The rest have been added to the list.

Your remark about the logo is a tricky one … version 1.0.11 will feature a different sample logo, but we’re still debating which ;)

    Once again, thank you!

I wonder if adding 20% or 30% transparency or so to it would help give the feel of it merely being a sample. It might also be worth exploring not having that placeholder there.

    Both excellent suggestions, thank you.
For now we changed the obscure “logoipsum” with “change logo” and we’ll continue to gather opinions, suggestions and thoughts.

    As I said; it’s a tricky one. ;)
