    This is a great idea, and I wish the core team would also focus on some of the other missing and underdeveloped apis eg custom post statuses, custom comment types etc.

    Instead they seem to be adding more features to Gutenberg, most of which have no place in a content editor.

    This sounds really promising. I hope it isn’t limited to Google fonts. Usually I put fonts on the local server to help with speed and nearly all are commercial fonts. I feel like installing fonts on a webhost seems to be a forgotten art.

      From the article, it does sound like they don’t plan on limiting it to just Google Fonts which is a good thing :).

      Would love to see how this plays out.
