1. James Larkin

Thanks for using one of my photos :)

You can find the original at Matt at WCEU :) Along with a few others from the event WCEU Photos

Mental note though bring a decent zoom lens the next time the venue was kinda huge :D

Thanks for posting the slides all in the one place as well I was kinda torn on which talks to attend at times ended up mostly going to the more commercial talks as opposed to the developer talks.

  2. Jeffro

@James Larkin – lol Matt looks tiny on that stage, one of the few photos where he looks that way.

It seems WordCamp Europe was an awesome time had by all.

  3. Doug Stewart

We’re any of those folks even FROM Europe? Unless I miss my mark, I count 9 Americans and one person from Japan. *grin*

  4. Tomas M.

@Doug Stewart – Perhaps it’s because this selection is for English speaking audience ONLY ;)

  5. Max

    @Doug Stewart
Nikolay Bachiyski (oop or not to oop) is a Bulgarian. Vitaly Friedman is an European too (his slides aren’t listed here though). The presentation about underscores and git was held by Germans http://www.slideshare.net/KirstenSchelper/wordcamp-europe-2013-git-wordpress and Vladimir Prelovic http://2013.europe.wordcamp.org/speaker-vladimir-prelovac/ is from Serbia

  6. Sara Rosso

@Doug Stewart – I may be American by birth but I’ve been living in Italy and Europe for the past 10 years. Nikolay, Floor, Marko are also Europeans of those featured above, and many more in the program, too.

All the content was in English :)

  7. Frank

Additional our slides and we are Germans. Also a lost our plugin

  8. Andreas Nurbo

@Sara Rosso -@Max – I think hes wondering why more Europeans weren’t listed given it was the official WordCamp for Europe. Its should really be dominated by Europeans.

  9. Frank

Sorry, was send before ready from mobile.
Now the link to our slides to create a multilingual site with WordPress and we are from Germany: http://marketpress.com/mlp
Also a link to a post, there have more informations about the plugin http://marketpress.com/2013/multilingual-wordpress/

  10. Floor Drees

@Doug Stewart – I represented the Netherlands (/ Austria)! So… there’s one. And Nikolaj is from Bulgaria, if I’m not mistaken…

  11. Ptah Dunbar

@Doug Stewart – I’ve lived in Europe (representing Luxembourg) for over a decade, including having a british nationality. I think they had a great mix group of speakers :)

  12. Ryan Hellyer

@Doug Stewart – Most of the speakers were European. The above list is a bit warped in that regard. I guess Americans are better at posting their slides online than their European counterparts :)

  13. Torsten

If you want to know it exactly just visit this article:

  14. Ryan Hellyer

WordCamp Europe was the most awesome WordPress experience I’ve ever had. So many incredible people.

  15. Doug Stewart

    Ptah, et al:
I am indeed commenting upon the slide decks selected as the “outstanding” ones. It struck me as odd for those selected to receive special commendation comprised a non-representative sample of the population being served is all.

    No offense intended.

  16. Joost de Valk

    my slides are here: http://www.slideshare.net/yoast/victory-of-the-commons

and probably better, the story is here: http://yoast.com/victory-commons/

  17. James Larkin

I think whether the people were from the US, Europe or elsewhere it doesn’t really matter what mattered was the content and that was pretty great :)

  18. Frank

@Ryan Hellyer – I can only confirm! WCEU was a nice event and the important part was the network, speak with people, there have the same interest.

  19. Kim

I didn’t upload the slides of my own presentation because unless you hear my voice, 40 slides of keywords don’t make much sense. :-)

  20. Xavi

Well, the last slide was enough to make me start testing my code with PHPUnit.
Thank you for the share good sir.
