Over the weekend, WordCamp Miami announced a date change for the 5th anniversary event. It’s now pushed up to to May 9-11, 2014. BuddyPress designers, developers and enthusiasts will be pleased to know that the organizers of the event have also given the green light to host another BuddyCamp Miami.
This is the second BuddyCamp that Miami has hosted. The event will be a mini-conference and will focus on both BuddyPress and bbPress topics. The organizers plan to have beginner sessions alongside designer / developer presentations. This event will be an excellent opportunity for anyone who builds or manages BuddyPress sites to learn from others and network with other BuddyPress fans from around the world.
BuddyCamp Miami Dates and Speaker Submissions
Applications are now open for BuddyCamp speakers. The BuddyCamp Miami planning team will be accepting speaker submissions until February 3, 2014, which is the same deadline for the WordCamp presentations.
The dates for BuddyCamp Miami have not yet been set in stone but the conference will be held within WordCamp Miami. May 9th or May 11th are the dates in consideration. If you’re thinking about going, follow @wordcampmiami and @buddycampmia for up-to-the-minute details and announcements. The organizers anticipate 600 – 700 attendees. This event has sold out every single time, so make sure to buy your tickets early.
